Hornton Street - Double Depth Basement Under Existing Property

Last year Knowles worked with Greenway to complete the refurbishment and extension of a four storey family home located in Hornton Street, in the Kensington Conservation Area. It was important to secure EcoHomes certification for the Hornton Street project so Knowles worked to keep external alterations to a minimum despite the inclusion of an underground carpark and cinema.

Primrose Hill - Refurbishment of Property with Basement Extension

A huge project for Knowles and Greenway was the renovation of a four storey semi-detached Italianate Villa within the Primrose Hill Conservation Area. This residential home was extended to the side and rear and a new basement level was added. Despite the restrictions on basement construction in this part of London, Knowles was successful in winning planning permission for Primrose Hill, making it a landmark project.

St John’s Wood - Renovation and Basement Addition to Substantial Grade II Listed Property

Greenway Architects and Knowles’ combined reputations and expertise helped ensure that planning permissions went through for this the Grade II Listed house in St John’s Wood. After a team of expert consultants convinced Westminster council and the local residents to approve the basement build, Greenway designed a stunning renovation and basement extension, which included a swimming pool beneath the garden equipped with light wells and roof lights to provide plenty of natural light.
